Board letter about name change from Cell Church Solutions to Joel Comiskey Group
In August 2006, we as the CCS team met with respected consultant Bill Easum. One of the first things Easum pointed out was the need for a name change. He felt that our name was actually hindering our ministry by hiding it. He felt people knew of Joel Comiskey from his books and ministry, but that people didn’t know about Cell Church Solutions. Thus, Easum felt that we had created a barrier for people to find our resources for the worldwide cell church.
Joel was reluctant to change the name because he felt it came across as too self-centered. Yet we as the Board don’t feel this is a problem. After much prayer, we decided on the name:

We believe that Joel Comiskey is the most recognized name in North America and beyond concerning the resourcing of cell ministry. We felt this new name would make the site and ministry more recognizable. We will keep the Cell Church Solutions link and simply forward it to the new site (www.joelcomiskeygroup.com )
We believe this is the best move to take Joel’s ministry to the next step.
We want to thank you for supporting Joel over the months and years. We believe that the best is still ahead.
Sincerely
